One Year Anniversary!
Yes, it was one year ago that the Gratitude ebook
was published and the first newsletter announcement
went out! I'm very grateful to all of you for being part of
this great consciousness shift.
Who do you know that doesn't have a copy yet?
Send them over to the web site to get one - they'll
certainly thank you for it! And to all my subscribers in
the USA, happy Thanksgiving.

Holiday Sale!
I've been really fortunate to get a couple of boxes of
Bob Proctor's study programs on consignment to sell.
These programs were distributed as part of a facilitator
training program and have been on the shelf doing no one
any good.
Bob's programs are some of the best combinations of
business sense and spiritual principles around. If you
want to make profound changes in your life, your
relationships or your business, then you want to study
this material.
Here's the best news - because many of these programs
are on tape instead of CD or DVD, they're available for up
to 60% off! Same great material, less moola. And just in
time for the holidays, too.
Bob's material changed my life. I found my purpose, quit
my job and started doing what I love. My wife went through
the same process, quit her job and went back to school to
follow her dream of being a minister. That's how we got
to Kansas City - her school is here. So don't buy any of
Bob's stuff unless you're ready to move!
Earl Nightingale once said, "Most people tiptoe through
life hoping to make it safely to death." If you're ready for
something more adventurous than that, you can see what
we have to make 2006 your best year ever!

PS - With every order through the holidays I'm throwing
in an autographed copy of "Seizing Your Success"

This month we're going to look at an application of
the Law of Gratitude - focusing on what you want - and
talk about purpose.

"Imagination and Purpose"
"You see things, and say, 'why?' But I dream things that
never were, and I say, "why not?"-- George Bernard Shaw
If we want to be in harmony with the Law of Gratitude, we
have to stay focused on what we want, not what we don't
want. This can be tough when we have to confront life
every day, with all its challenges.
It can also be tough if we don't know what we want.
I am continually amazed by the large number of people
that I meet that don't know what they want. Oh, they may
think they know, but mostly what they want is to avoid
discomfort. For life to be smooth.
In other words, they are tiptoeing through life, as Earl
Nightingale put it so well. That's why so many have no
answer when asked, "What is your purpose for living?
Why are you here on Earth?"
You see, with no purpose it becomes very difficult to
develop a vision for your life. With no vision, it's hard
to create goals. I lived in that Twilight Zone for over
25 years, and had a terrible time with goals.
I had no idea what I wanted. So I didn't get it. I was
very clear about what I didn't want. So I got that
instead.
Does this sound familiar?
So what's the cure? Well, you have to choose a purpose.
Yes, choose. We don't have purpose assigned to us - we
live in a free-will universe. So if you're waiting for God to
tell you your assignment, you're out of luck.
Here's the good news - your purpose can be be found among
the things you love. In other words, you get to look at the
things that give you the greatest joy and happiness in life
and choose your purpose in relation to that.

If you have a business, you understand the importance
of networking. But how to find a good business group and
stay true to your own ethical and spiritual principles?
There is such a group - Shared Vision Network. It's a
national group with local chapters in several states and
it's run by my friends Ken and Judy Foster.
They ask me to let you know about a special
membership drive that they have, with lots of goodies!

Let me show you how this works, with an example from
one of the funniest men I know - actor, producer and
comedian Mel Brooks. (The first time I saw his movie
"Blazing Saddles" I laughed so hard that they almost called
the paramedics for me.)
Here's what Mel said about his life:
"Look at Jewish history. Unrelieved lamenting would be
intolerable. So, for every 10 Jews beating their breasts, God
designated one to be crazy and amuse the others. By the
time I was five, I knew I was that one."
Now, he's made a joke of it, of course, because he's a
comedian. But there are two very important lessons
hidden in this joke.
First, by the time he was five years old, he knew his purpose
in life was to make people laugh. And he stuck to it, even
though his mother probably wanted him to "go to college
and get a good job." I'm sure it wasn't easy, either, because
it's not easy being excellent at anything, especially comedy.
The second thing he did is so powerful that I don't want you
to miss it. It is the secret to having a purpose that makes
your whole life sing.
He declared his purpose was an assignment from God!
In other words, he found a meaning, a sense of higher good,
a way to contribute to the human race, a way to make the
world better, in his purpose. Who can argue with the idea
that the more people laugh, the better off the world is?
The same idea was used by Dan Aykroyd in the two
Blues Brothers movies. Used like a joke, but with a
serious idea behind it. Remember their catchphrase?
"We're on a mission from God!" They had to play the
blues - it was their destiny.
Follow their lead. Choose a BIG purpose. That's where
the power is. Find what you love to do and see that as
a way to change the world.
This is where your imagination comes in. It's your most
powerful and creative mental faculty. Do like George
Bernard Shaw says - "dream things that never were, and
ask "why not?"
Use imagination to choose a purpose. Then use it to create
a vision - the vision of how you will serve your purpose.
From your vision, create short term and long term goals
to bring your vision into reality.
Once you do this, you'll have no problem with knowing what
you want. It will be easy to focus on that, and easy to stay in
gratitude for the blessings and the progress that you make.
Remember - you're on a mission from God!
Have a great month. I am grateful for each and
every one of you!
Peace and love,
Wes
