The Last Year
It's looking like 2008 will be the last yeat that I'll be selling the highly discounted copies of all of Bob Proctor's programs. I've been able to get them on consignment from various facilitators that Proctor has trained, but the supply is drying up. This material has changed many people's lives, including mine, and if you want to make a big change in YOUR fortunes in 2008, you'll want to get some of these programs and start studying. Learn how to align with the Universal Laws, set and achieve goals, build a powerful self-image, make decisions, become successful in sales and much more. Get the products you want, at low prices that won't last, here:
The Razor's Edge
"Always do your best. What you plant
now, you harvest later."
- - Og Mandino
It's starting to get really beautiful here in the
mountains of eastern Arizona, and today we have
bright sunshine and shirt sleeve temperatures.
It's a big improvement over the freezing rain and
snow we had Sunday. There's nothing like winter
to make you grateful for spring, is there?
As I was thinking about how grateful I was for the
sunshine, I got to thinking about some of the things
we sometimes have trouble being grateful for. One
of those things is being grateful for ourselves.
You probably know how easy it is to criticize yourself
and find places you need serious improvement! That
seems so much easier than feeling good about yourself.
And besides, we all know that Mom told us not to be
stuck up or conceited, right?
Well, Mom was wrong about some things, and feeling
good about yourself was one of them. We want to be
grateful. So here's a suggestion for a simple way you
can genuinely feel good about yourself every day.
It's based on a spiritual principle which tells us that the
difference between success and failure can be as thin
as a razor's edge. We see it in sports, where the
difference in average time between the #1 race horse
and the #2 over a season might be only a couple of
hundredths of a second, yet the difference in winnings
is enormous. A baseball player who gets 33 hits for
every hundred times at bat will be paid much more
than one who only gets 29 hits. That's a difference of
only 1 hit every 25 times at bat!
So how do we apply this? It's easy. As we go through
our daily routine and get to the spot where we usually
stop, we just do one more. We process one more piece
of paper, answer one more email, clean up one more
little pile of clutter, make one more phone call. Perhaps
we watch one less mindless TV program and read one
more inspiring book. It's the power of One. And every
time we do it, we congratulate ourselves.
Can you see how easy it will be to feel good about
yourself every time you make this choice? Every night
as you go to bed you can be feeling grateful for the
wise choices you made. You'll have a great feeling
of accomplishment. Over time the results of these
little accomplishments in your life will really add up.
Success is as thin as a razor's edge.
And it only takes one.
Since tomorrow's my birthday, I'm grateful to mark
another year getting to write these newsletters to
wonderful people like you. Thanks for reading, and
for your inspiring comments!
In gratitude,
Wes
