Happy New Year!
I hope that you've sat down and written out your goals
for the new year. Written goals are much more powerful
and achievable, so get them in writing! I wish you the very
best for the new year, whether you celebrate 2006 or "Year of the Dog"!

Got Goals?
I just received a new box of Bob Proctor audio programs
for consignment sale at a big discount. Included in this
box are sets of the program that changed my life and
got me in this business - The Goal Achiever!
You can learn the same powerful process that I did that
will enable you to set and achieve any goal you choose,
and you'll pay a lot less.

This month I want to encourage you to make mistakes.
Read on for the details on why you should be grateful for
them.

"The Blessings of Mistakes"
"One of the secrets of success is to refuse
to let temporary setbacks defeat us"-- Mary Kayl
In a recent study of super-high achievers, scientists
found that one characteristic they shared was
that of constantly trying new ideas, even though
most of the new ideas didn't work out.
Ordinary people are more conservative and want to
be sure something will work before they try it. I think
the reason is that we've been taught to be grateful
for our successes and not for our failures.
What if we were taught wrong? What if we took
Thomas Edison's approach? He said that he never
failed, he just discovered what didn't work. If we
treated every outcome as a discovery, we might find
it easier to be grateful for it.
When Bob Proctor needed a $1,000 loan to start his
first business, 21 straight banks turned him down. He
discovered 21 banks that weren't right for him. The 22nd
bank gave him the money, and the rest is history.
Effective discovery, trial and error, takes persistence.
High achievers know this and that's why they keep trying
new things. When Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen
were looking for the right publisher for the first Chicken
Soup book, they tried many different ways of contacting
publishers and collected hundreds and hundreds of
rejections from "wrong" publishers. Eventually, one way
worked and the right publisher has now helped them sell
over 100 million books.
Can you be grateful for the dead ends, false starts,
and stone walls you run in to? I can assure you that
if you are grateful for the discovery, it will make finding
the right path more rapid and enjoyable. Gratitude keeps
us in touch with the Source of our good and makes it
easier for us to find it. (And for it to find us!)
So be bold! Be willing to try new things even if it seems
risky and even if you're not sure it will work. Whatever
the outcome, say, "Thanks!" If the outcome wasn't quite
what you wanted, then say "Next!" Go make another
discovery.
There's a reason why successful people operate this way.
It's the only way to become successful! It's also a lot
more fun to be grateful for the discovery than to whine about
what went wrong.
Is there something in your life right now that is calling you
to take a risk? Put this to the test, and let me know what
you discover. I'm cheering for you!
Have a great month. I am grateful for each and
every one of you!
Peace and love,
Wes
