"How To Have Happiness"
"Success is not the key to happiness.
Happiness is the key to success.
If you love what you are doing,
you will be successful."
- - Albert Schweitzer
I was thinking about happiness today after I heard
that Michael Jackson had passed away.
What came to my mind was how many of us are
waiting for some external circumstance to change so
we can be happy.
"When I get enough money, when I get the right job,
when I get the right person, when my kids treat me
right....."
Guess what? Michael Jackson had tons of money, fame,
extraordinary talent and tens of thousands of adoring
fans.
Was he happy?
Now it's hard to say from a distance, but I think that
most of us would agree that he didn't act happy. In
fact, a common adjective used to describe him was
"tortured." He seemed to be fighting inner demons.
If money and stuff causes happiness, he should have
been happy. But it doesn't seem he was.
Now let's not make the opposite mistake and say that
money and fame cause unhappiness. They don't. As
Abraham Lincoln said, "Most people are about as
happy as they make up their mind to be."
If you can't be happy before you have prosperity,
chances are you won't be happy no matter how
much abundance you create.
The best way I know to be happy is to practice
gratitude! Ah ha, you knew I'd get around to that
eventually. Yes, gratitude. When we focus on what
we have, rather than what we don't have, happiness
is natural. And we all have plenty to be grateful for.
Many things in life that we think happen to us are
really decisions! Love is a decision, not a feeling.
And happiness is a decision. How happy are you
willing to make up your mind to be? Take a stretch
and choose to be really happy!
Today focus on the blessings you have, and from
that place of happiness, go after what you want.
You can't create more abundance in your life if you're
feeling needy, but you sure can if you're feeling
grateful, and happy.
Go ahead. It won't hurt. It'll probably feel really good.
I choose happiness,
Wes

Dealing with Fear and Change
Boy, a lot of people are struggling right now to
deal with the economy and their fears about
the future. Wouldn't it be great to be able to ask
some really successful people how they dealt
with it in their lives?
You can! I've been rereading these 15 interviews,
with Jim Rohn, Michael Fortin, Joe Vitale, Bob
Berg and more, and they're even more inspiring
now in this economy than they were before!
They did it. You can do it. Read how. Oh, and the answer's
not in a bunch of marketing tips.
